Website audits, design and redesign
Our accessibility consultants can start you off in the right direction towards making your new website accessible or we can review your existing site. Our design, redesign and audit services provide fast and thorough website and software accessibility evaluations. Evaluations can be performed remotely or at a specified location.
CNIB web accessibility audits can take anywhere from two days to a few weeks (timelines and fees depend on the scope and size of your site). Audits include:
- Evaluation of your site using CNIB’s web accessibility guidelines, WCAG 2.0 and W3C guidelines, U.S. section 508 of the rehabilitation act and AODA legislation
- Explanation of what and where the problems are, including a ranking of priorities and specific instruction on what needs to be done to address each issue
- Overall best practices, recommendations and sample website code.
- Information about adaptive technology products used by people with disabilities in relation to your site’s design and recommendations on which products to use to ensure accessibility
- A usability section provided by both screen magnifier and screen reader users
- Support as needed
